This chapter guides you through the complete process of obtaining, installing, activating, and configuring CMD Pro on your WordPress site. It is the final step in the product lifecycle — taking you from acquisition to operational use.

CMD Pro is currently under active development. Public production packages will become available following completion of development, testing, security validation, and release approval.

24.6. Installation Methods

24.6.1. WordPress Admin Installation — Recommended

The standard method for installing CMD Pro through the WordPress admin interface:

24.10. Updating CMD Pro

CMD Pro supports seamless updates through the WordPress admin:

24.11. Upgrade, Downgrade & Rollback

Upgrade

Upgrade from Free → Starter → Pro → Business → Enterprise by purchasing the appropriate subscription plan. After upgrading, install the corresponding edition package.

Downgrade

When downgrading, premium features may become unavailable. Configuration data remains intact but features requiring higher editions will be disabled.

Rollback

If an update causes issues, you can roll back to a previous version by manually installing the earlier package. Always back up your site before performing a rollback.

One-click rollback functionality will be evaluated for future releases based on user feedback.

24.12. Uninstallation & Data Retention

Final data-retention behavior will be confirmed during production implementation and release testing.

Deactivate

Deactivating CMD Pro stops the plugin from running but retains all configuration and data:

  • Settings and configurations remain
  • Cached commodity data persists
  • License information is retained
  • Plugin can be reactivated without reconfiguration

Delete

Deleting CMD Pro removes the plugin files from your WordPress installation:

  • Plugin files are removed from /wp-content/plugins/
  • Configuration data may be retained or removed based on settings

Old unsupported releases should not be used in production. They may contain known security vulnerabilities and receive no updates. Upgrade to a supported version.
